What the readers and professionals are saying
The impact that WHY ME? has had on readers is best described through their own words
“This book reveals a journey that many in today’s culture can relate to. The writer illustrates a tremendous level of endurance in tough times. It gives a guiding voice to those who are going through, or have gone through similar times. Look for the courage, strength, answers, and hope. I highly recommend this book!”
—D. G. Hargrove, Senior Pastor, North Cities, Garland, Texas
“The tentacles of abuse are pervasive and far reaching in the lives of those who have been sexually abused, yet the love of God reaches further and deeper. In Why Me? we are given a picture of both. We are able to see the pain, the confusion, the shame, and the reality of the impact of being sexually abused. We are also privileged to see the greater impact of prayer, God’s love, mercy, and grace. Misty Michael’s story is sadly similar to many, yet still unique. Her story is one that portrays hope and empowers those who have been victimized with realistic, practical, and sound insight. Her story is encapsulated in Romans 8:37–38: ‘No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ Why Me? provides the hope and encouragement that is necessary on the road to wholeness and which is found in God’s healing and restorative power.”

“Misty’s story is riveting, as is the style in which she tells it. At times I cried while reading it. I also rejoiced. But it is the principles she shares that make it a life-altering book. If you have experienced brokenness and are trying to find your way, or perhaps wanting to help others find theirs—if you have ever asked ‘why me?’—this book may offer the answers you are looking for.”
—Dr. Eugene T. Wilson, Author and Founder of Equipping Leaders
“Like Job of old, when we suffer, we often ask God despairing questions like, why me? But in Misty Michael’s work, she turns this question on its head to reveal the mystery of how God turns the “why me?” of despair into a question of wonder at how an infinite God uses our pain for His purpose.
